IN A SYNTHETIC MOISTURIZER
MOISTURIZER:
MINERAL OIL
When applied, mineral oil creates a barrier on the skin, clogging pores and making it difficult for skin to eliminate toxins. When absorbed into the body, mineral oil is known to steal all the fat-soluble vitamins in your intestinal tract, which can over time lead to nutritional deficiencies.

PRESERVATIVE:
PARABENS
Parabens have recently been shown to mimic estrogen, disrupting our bodies' endocrine (hormone) system and have been found in human breast tumors, possibly linking them to breast cancer.

THICKENER:
ISOPROPYL PALMITATE
Isopropyl palmitate commonly causes blackheads and whiteheads due to its pore clogging abilities. Isopropyl palmitate is also known to deprive skin of the ability to breathe oxygen, and therefore can cause  dryness and flaking of the skin. When used in combination with a hydrocortisone in topical preparations, isopropyl palmitate can cause skin problems such as acne and inflammation.

MOISTURIZER:
COCONUT OIL
Unlike mineral oil, coconut oil goes straight through the skin barrier and absorbs almost instantly, leaving skin soothed, soft and dewy. Coconut oil is frequently used for sunburns as well as irritations. For the face, coconut oil is great for nourishing dry skin as well as helping oily skin types. Coconut oil is also great to use as an anti-aging and acne facial oil.

PRESERVATIVE:
WILDFLOWER HONEY
Wildflower honey naturally preserves while adding nourishing and healing properties to products. With super antimicrobial properties, wildflower honey is a great antiseptic for skin. Wildflower honey is also known to eliminate pimples and acne.

THICKENER:
BEESWAX
Beeswax locks in moisture, fosters cells and protects skin from damaging environmental factors. Due to its healing and skin soothing properties, beeswax is wonderful for chapped and dry skin. Beeswax has water repellent properties, yet never irritates sensitive skin or clogs pores like its synthetic counterparts do.
